This project is about conscious sharing and unconscious receiving of information. I have trying to create a different way of sharing and browsing information through designing this site. On the floor level people would actively think and share their ideas. On the ground level, people will get a chance to view other people's ideas. The column will show the cumulated massive amount of information in random order, mirrors the fractions of the contemporary culture and notion. Viewers will interact with the stream of consciousness in a physical form through experiencing this column and filter the information to define and decode the trend of massive information with their own vision.

		<description>This is a representation of a systematic assembly of designer's various modes of design processes and of a conceptual structure of a reminiscence of the designer, built during the designer’s working processes. It is a system of documentation of one’s own life-long procedure of establishing insights and experiences.

The system organizes and categorizes resources that were generated and documented during the designer’s working process in various systematic fashion; collected and systematized resources will be visually presented to designers as a designed artifact. The system does not merely refer to documentation itself, but a representation of a procedure of observation and reflection on one’s ongoing and completed design process and past practices.

: six stages of overall design practice.
&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/6_stages_m.jpg" width="670" height="590" width_o="797" height_o="702" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/6_stages_m_o.jpg" data-mid="2000194"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

The designer’s practice is communicating designer’s intent to the outside world by presenting output that created by the designer.
The process of practice is illustrated above diagram as a black arrow; it is performed throughout one’s life span of commitment in design practice. However, the whole process of practice is consisted with several sessions of ideation and making, which is red inner circle of this diagram; it represents the embodiment of designer’s idea through fabrication and execution.
The grey circle, a circle of observation – documentation – analysis – reflection – evaluation – adaptation, is an embodied and articulated abstraction of the overall practice. An intent of the designer is the core effector that shapes the modes of overall practice. yet, also inversely the grey circle is orbiting around the whole path of the designer’s practice and constantly influencing the intent and growing along with the designer’s ideation.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/adapt_numbered_rgb.jpg" width="670" height="341" width_o="768" height_o="391" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/adapt_numbered_rgb_o.jpg" data-mid="2009945"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
1.
As the designer interacts with this system, he/she will observe and examine the collected data, than analysis them. During this stage, the designer will become conscious of his/her own design approach of the past. In the reflection and evaluation stage, the designer will contemplate and examine the product of the documentation. The designer will explore his/her workflows to discover and redefine patterns through this documentation system and recycle their own thoughts.

2.
 Through this self-reflective and self-learning process, the designer will be inspired by documentation of his/her own work path. The designer will make a decision whether he/she should preserve the previous conception and the way of treatment on his/her project, or leave them behind and take other directions before they take a next step for their desired goals; the previous perception of the designer will be reinforced or reconstructed at this stages. The designer will deal with problems and constraints by choosing right direction.

This repetitive and recursive process, will affect not only the outcome of the specific design but also the entire thinking method and working process. Through the system, designer will monitor a cumulated chain of working processes at a glance. The design processes are dependent; they are influencing each other. Like the present is built upon the past, knowledge is built upon pre-existing knowledge. Sharing knowledge of working processes, thinking methods and idea is a pivotal act for the construction of today’s design and its evolution.

1. The device (system) automatically collects your library of working process works by different formats (sound, graphic, videos, photos text, etc.) and genres of designer’s works.
2. It communicates with your medium (digital device) constantly and automatically generates sets of histories.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/doc_still_tile_3_4.jpg" width="670" height="123" width_o="1500" height_o="277" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/384088/doc_still_tile_3_4_o.jpg" data-mid="1949555"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
3. The device (system) works as a portal between designer’s studio to the public space. The device is connected between designer’s medium (both digital / analog) and net cloud. It directly publishes designer’s outcome to different kinds of network (i.e. Blog, websites).
4. The system classifies the documents by various modes such as time periods, genres, formats, etc.

		<description>Solar power captures the heat and light of the sun to generate electricity. Solar energy does not produce air emissions, generate solid waste, or use up water. It is available to everyone because there is sun everywhere on earth, it is available most of the year, and it is predictable and reliable.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97404/solar_pannels.jpg" width="670" height="283" width_o="800" height_o="338" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97404/solar_pannels_o.jpg" data-mid="717131"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

The purpose of this motion project is to create an advertisement for Asura, the solar powered electric company. Since Asura is not yet a publicly traded company, they do not promote themselves actively, thus I decided to create an advertisement for it. I was inspired by the way solar panels move toward the positioning of the sun. The entire video is composed and curated with several footages of sun rising, falling and vibrating.
Ironically, the term, Asura means a member of a class of divine beings in the Vedic period, which in Indian mythology tend to be evil and in Zoroastrianism are benevolent.

		<description>NAVIGATING THROUGH THE INCIDENTS OF THE PAST
Since I had a car accident several years ago, the way that I think about the relationship between incidents and the environment in which they occurred has changed. Whenever I pass by the location of my accident, it reminds me of the day the accident happened, even though the scene of the location has changed completely. Most of the people won't notice, yet the impact from the incident doesn't leave, but circulates through the environment, containing traces of the force of the incident.

"Well, you know, Doc, when something happens, you can leave a trace of itself behind. Say like, if someone burns toast. Well, maybe things that happen leave other kinds of traces behind. Not things that anyone can notice, but things that people who "shine" can see. Just like they can see things that haven't happened yet. Well, sometimes they can see things that happened a long time ago. I think a lot of things happened right here in this particular hotel over the years. And not all of 'em was good".

 - Dick Hallorann, from Kubrick's film, "The Shining" -

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97491/compass_photo_device_W.jpg" width="670" height="427" width_o="1391" height_o="888" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97491/compass_photo_device_W_o.jpg" data-mid="1868889"  border="0" align="left"/&#62; &#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97491/compass_photo_W.jpg" width="670" height="238" width_o="1383" height_o="492" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/97491/compass_photo_W_o.jpg" data-mid="1868890"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
I designed a device, resembling a compass in form, which provides us with two different time lines of the location at a glance; the past and the future. There are two different layers of footage of this location in this video piece; the blurry, transparent layer of the video represents the past, while the solid background layer of the video is the present, in which we live. The video shows a 360-degree view of the two different streets and the incidents that happened in two decades.

The appearance of the compass also represents this situation; when you look at the device from the top view, you see only a metallic material, but from the angled view, you see red plates, which represents the danger of the situation.

Location: Union and Raymond St. / Hays Alley, Pasadena, CA.
The compass reads events which took place in those two locations over two decades.

Incidents are generated where the time and location meets. Where the people and incidents coexist, memories are generated.

The Astrolabe is a very ancient astronomical computer for solving problems relating to time and the location of the Sun and stars in the sky. This is done by drawing the sky on the face of the astrolabe and marking it so positions in the sky are easy to find. To use an astrolabe, you adjust the moveable mechanism to a specific date and time. I thought that Astrolabe is a great example of mechanism that is able to illustrate both time and location in physical manner; I deconstructed the form of the former and applied to my conceptual device.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/96696/as03.JPG" width="670" height="445" width_o="752" height_o="500" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/6605/96696/as03_o.JPG" data-mid="693223"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

Astrolabes were also used for astrological purposes. Astrology is a group of systems and beliefs, which hold that the relative positions of celestial symbols and related details can provide useful information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial matters; I'm using technology and digital media to recreate and reorganize fragments of life of one, yet I'm looking for some mythical value as well.

This project is about searching and navigating through where the time and location meet and generate incidents to retrieving one's memories and creates a moment of self-reflection. I decided to use surveillance footages, because those contains imageries of you, in which you haven't seen or aware of. In contemporary society, most part of your lifetime is recorded; it might sounds exaggerated however, it is true. We are facing the era of massive information and our life is digitally created along with us, living in this real world. For example, these days most people are born and pass away in a hospital and our moment of both birth and death are recorded by security camera in the hospital. After someone's death, although he or she does not exist in this world any more, the recorded life of one will keep floating around, creating phantom information.

The timeline of this device, which stands vertically, is divided into two sections. The red zone is the searching area for the video from surveillance camera shot in certain time and the blue zone is your point of view looking at outside at that time. If the videos from surveillance camera form your outer appearance, videos of your point of view will form your inner part.

		<description>The Course of Seeking Knowledge (Reference. User. Manual) is both a physical and graphical representation of the process of learning. The middle of the tangible structure has seven panels. These panels illustrate the seven phases of both the course of my investigation on subject matter and the creative responses corresponding to my learning process. Each white string represents the trajectories of the learning process and each red string represents the process that has been shaping my creative practice.

Quantum state of the universe:
&#124; Ψ UNIVERSE 〉 = ∑αi &#124; Ψ WORLD i 〉
Measurement of the existence:
μi ≡ 〈 Ψ UNIVERSE &#124; Pi &#124; Ψ UNIVERSE 〉

The theory explains that there are many worlds existing in parallel in the Universe. Although all worlds are of the same physical size (this might not be true if we take quantum gravity into account), and in every world sentient beings feel as "real" as in any other world, in some sense some worlds are larger than others. I describe this property as the measure of existence of a world. "I" also have a measure of existence. It is the sum of measures of existence of all different worlds in which I exist; equally, it can be defined as the measure of existence of my perception world. Note that I do not experience directly the measure of my existence. In the system of the parallel universe, I feel the same weight, see the same brightness, etc. irrespectively of how tiny my measure of existence might be.

The measurement of Existence is an interactive installation that incorporates both an animated graphic and sound. The device shows the simultaneity of innumerable state of a single electron forms the probability wave. As a viewer get closer and observe the ambiguous state of the electron, the device is triggered to show the next stage of the visual information of the viewer’s existence within the system of the parallel universe. In the theories of quantum physics, the acts of observation and measurement play a critical role in creating our physical reality. When it is activated by the power of observation, it examines the sensory mechanism of measurement from the viewer, such as cognition and sight. Then, it visualizes a parallel state of the viewer’s universe, from clustered groups of galaxy to the solar system the earth inhabits.
